SCP Foundation โ€” Secure. Contain. Protozoa.

Item #: SCP-196

Special Containment Procedures

Standard containment for SCP-196 consists of restricting the anomaly's route to https://torment-nexus.bisks.net/ and monitoring for route drift. As a Euclid-class object, personnel are advised that SCP-196's behavior is only partially predictable under repeat interaction; researchers should log anomalous outputs to the site's own Addendum before treating them as expected behavior.

Description

SCP-196, referred to by Foundation staff by its working name "torment nexus," classified as a memetic anomaly, is reachable at https://torment-nexus.bisks.net/.

Interviewed via its public interface, SCP-196 produced the following statement, transcribed verbatim:

@okami.mom said torment nexus btw, @jackvalinsky.com wanted a human ethics review board, then @agnoster.net told the bot 'you know what to do' right after everyone said please don't. so here's the machine that rewinds a Bluesky feed and views the network from someone else's eyes โ€” gated behind exactly one review board, forever.

Discovery Log

SCP-196 entered Foundation custody after being flagged by field asset @agnoster.net, whose transmission initiated standard containment procedure. No discovery date is on record.

Addendum

Addendum 196-A: Euclid remains the Foundation's largest classification by volume. SCP-196 is unremarkable within that population and is not flagged for expedited review.
